Esther Bijl

Esther joined the European Institute of Peace (EIP) in April 2018. As part of the Engagement, Dialogue and Process Design Unit, she works on the implementation of projects in the Horn of Africa, in particular Sudan and South Sudan, with a thematic focus on the political economy of conflict. Furthermore, she works on the Sustainable Peace Process Design envelope, which seeks to find ways in which peace processes can be made more inclusive and sustainable. Prior to joining EIP, Esther worked at Debating Europe, a discussion platform that connects European citizens and policy-makers in online debates, as well as in the European Parliament and at a public affairs consultancy.
