Ines Bencheikh

Ines Bencheikh joined the European Institute of Peace’s Middle East Team as a Programme Assistant in September 2022.
After graduating from a master’s degree in Political Sciences and International Relations from the Université Paris 1 – Panthéon Sorbonne, she spent a few years in the Middle East and North Africa region and graduated from a second Master in Middle Eastern studies from the American University in Beirut (AUB).
Her work experience includes the French Embassy in Jordan, the Syrian INGO Region Forum (SIRF) based in Amman and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Tunis. Before joining the Institute, she did a year-long traineeship in diplomacy within the MD MENA of the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels.
She speaks French, English, Arabic and Spanish. She is learning Dutch.
