Jorge Eduardo Delgado

Jorge Eduardo Delgado is as a Senior Expert for Colombia under the Latin America programme in the Engagement, Dialogue and Process Design Unit. He has been working for over a decade in programming and advisory roles in Conflict and Stabilization, Political Risk and Policy advice for government, academia the private sector and INGOs.

Prior to joining the Institute, he was a Senior Policy Advisor with the Embassy of Canada in Colombia supporting the development of comprehensive peace and security programming.

A former UK FCO Chevening Scholar, Jorge Eduardo holds a PhD from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. His academic research has focused on the strategic history of the Colombian armed conflict. He is also an Associate of the Changing Character of Conflict Platform project at the University of Oxford, where he researches the dynamics of Colombia’s security sector in the post-peace accord transition.
