Julie Raasteen
Julie Raasteen joined the European Institute of Peace (EIP) in March 2020 as the Environmental Peacemaking Officer. Julie brings with her experience from the Danish Council for International Conflict Resolution where she managed the Secretariat and developed their climate and conflict programme from the initial phase. Before that, Julie was part of starting up the Network for Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding, a Copenhagen-based civil society partnership to build capacity on conflict prevention and peacebuilding among Danish CSO’s. She holds an MSc in International Security and Law from the University of Southern Denmark during which she worked with grassroots organization Sembrandopaz on reconciliation and nature-based peacebuilding in Montes de María, Northern Colombia. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with socio-legal studies at the University of Glasgow.
