Laura Geres
Laura Geres has joined the European Institute of Peace in September 2022 as a Programme Assistant for the Climate and Environmental Peacemaking Programme. Her work currently focuses on initiatives in Yemen. Laura has a background in International Human Rights, Development, and Corporate Sustainability. Prior to her role at the Institute, she worked with the Environment Department at Human Rights Watch in Paris, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Bonn, and Amnesty International in Berlin.
Laura holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po Paris and a B.A. in Cultural Studies from the Leuphana University of Lüneburg. She speaks German, English, and French and has basic knowledge of Spanish and Turkish.
