Miriam Trefzer

Miriam Trefzer joined the European Institute of Peace in February 2022 as a Fellow with the European Policy Support envelope, which seeks to support the development of coherent European peacemaking strategies. Having previously worked with UNHCR Jordan, the Munich Security Conference, the UNHCR Liaison Office to the OSCE, the UN International Law Commission, the Tanzanian Red Cross Society, and with NGOs in Israel, she brings with her diverse professional experience on issues related to conflict, displacement, divided societies, and international law. Miriam holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from TU Dresden and a Master’s degree in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute. She speaks German, English, Spanish, and Hebrew and has an intermediate level in French, Swahili, and Arabic.
