Our people

Olivia Thomas joined the institute as intern in the Executive Director’s Office in January 2026. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Global Security and Strategy at the Brussels School of Governance.

Olivia holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Her undergraduate thesis explored the Naxalite movement in Eastern India, with a focus on the securitization of tribal movements. She also completed an academic exchange at the National University of Singapore, where she focused on security and political dynamics in the Indo-Pacific region.

Her research interests encompass humanitarian conflicts, human security, and the role of international actors in shaping conflict dynamics worldwide.
