Our people

Sarah Saija joined the Conflict Justice and Reconciliation Programme at the European Institute of Peace in March 2021. Her work is currently focuses on projects in Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan and Iraq. She brings her experience from the Democratic Progress Institute in London and the Post-Conflict Research Centre in Sarajevo.

Sarah holds an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS University of London and a BA in Language, Culture and Society of Asia and Mediterranean Africa from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She is fluent in English and possesses an intermediate level of French, in addition to her native language Italian.
