The European Institute of Peace and Fikra for Studies and Development (FikraSD) are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership dedicated to fostering peace and stability within Sudan and the broader regional context. The two organisations have reached a Memorandum of Understanding outlining a framework for collaboration over the next three years.

This partnership seeks to combine the expertise and resources of both institutions to address the critical challenges facing Sudan, including its regional and international impact. The Institute and FikraSD will undertake a range of initiatives, with the aim of enabling Sudanese actors to drive forward effective dialogue initiatives, towards the resolution of conflicts and peaceful coexistence. Leveraging their combined strengths, the Institute and FikraSD aim to make a substantial contribution towards peace and prosperity within Sudan and the wider region.

This strategic alliance between the Institute and FikraSD underscores the pivotal role of partnerships between international peacemaking organisations, civil society organisations and think tanks from conflict-afflicted regions in shaping a world defined by peace and justice. Both organisations believe that more can be achieved by working together to amplify the voice of communities, nurture dialogue and understanding, and catalyse positive transformation. It remains crucial to maintain support for and investment in partnerships between organisations and individuals from the global south and global north to strive towards a more equitable future for all.
