Ahmadullah Hamta
Ahmadullah Hamta is Asia Programme Assistant at the European Institute of Peace. He joined the Institute in October 2022 to support the Afghanistan Peace Program.
Before joining EIP, Ahmadullah worked as a project manager on fundamental rights, peace and conflict with the Afghanistan Public Policy Research Organization (APPRO), where he has been integral in organising community dialogue on inclusive and sustainable peace in five regions, across Afghanistan. He has co-authored several research papers on peace, fundamental rights and socio-economic development. Ahmadullah has also worked as a team leader with AIESEC-Afghanistan and project assistant with the European Chamber – EuCham in Budapest.
Ahmadullah holds a postgraduate diploma in research from Maastricht School of Management, a master’s degree in development economics from University of Clermont Auvergne and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kabul University. He also holds a certificate in policy analysis from Ghent University, a certificate in project cycle management and a certificate in gender analysis & development from Ruhr University Bochum.
He speaks Dari, Pashto, English, Urdu (intermediate), and French (beginner).
