Cian Thomas Ennis

Cian Thomas Ennis joined the European Institute of Peace in September 2025 as a Fundraising and Communications Intern within the Executive Director’s Office. In this role, he supports the Institute’s strategic development by conducting political research, engaging in donor mapping, and monitoring grant opportunities to strengthen fundraising capacity.
Before joining the Institute, Cian worked in Dublin’s nonprofit sector, contributing to Oxfam’s fundraising initiatives, leading Amnesty International Ireland’s Face-to-Face fundraising team, and founding a fundraising enterprise to enhance the Irish Refugee Council’s ability to secure vital funding. Cian is pursuing an MSc in Human Rights and Diplomacy at the University of Stirling, in association with UNITAR, focusing on international human rights law, socioeconomic rights, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. He also holds a BA in Classics, English, and History from University College Dublin.
A native English speaker, he is passionate about the Irish language.
