Fisnik Rexhepi

Fisnik Rexhepi joined the European Peace Institute in March 2024 as Consultant to support implementation of the project ‘On the path to Normalization between Kosovo and Serbia’.

With over 18 years of professional experience in public institutions, civil society and international organisations, Fisnik has been actively involved and provided his expertise in Kosovo’s state building process. He possesses in-depth knowledge of the security sector, regional cooperation, EU foreign and security policy, strategic planning, policy formulation and civil society engagement promoting peacebuilding, reconciliation, and regional cooperation.

Fisnik has an extensive experience in the EU Facilitated Dialogue on Normalization of Relations between Kosovo and Serbia. He was member of the Kosovo Government team on dialogue, negotiating and coordinating implementation of several agreements, such as Civil Registry, Freedom of Movement, IBM and the First Agreement on Principles Governing Normalization of Relations. In addition, he has been actively involved in conducting research, analysis, and assessments to identify opportunities for dialogue, confidence-building measures, and sustainable solutions for outstanding issues related to Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue. Currently, he is co-authoring a book examining mediation efforts in Kosovo-Serbia relations.
