Libe Baum
Libe Baum joined the European Institute of Peace as a Programme Officer in September 2023. She supports the Responding to Violent Extremism programme within the Peace, Practice, and Innovation (PPI) unit. Her work currently focuses on projects in Somalia.
Before joining the Institute, Libe worked on institutional capacity building and diaspora engagement projects in Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, and Somalia at the International Organization for Migration (IOM). She also worked at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Benin.
Libe holds a Master’s degree in International Security, Diplomacy and African Studies from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from Amsterdam University College. She speaks Dutch, English and has a working knowledge of French and Spanish.
