Oday Abukarsh
Oday Abukarsh joined the institute in May 2024 as a Regional Advisor to the Palestine Israel Programme. Oday is a social activist and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hebron University as well as an MA in Humanitarian Affairs from La Sapienza University in Rome, and an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Oday is Co-Founder of REFORM, an organisation seeking to empower the most marginalised and hard to reach groups to effectively participate in public life. He served as Policy Advisor for UNDP and for a number of international organisations. He led a project for amending the Palestinian Basic Law, the Electoral Law and the rules and procedures of the PLC during his work at the Palestinian Center for the Independence of Judiciary and Legal Profession.
He also participated in developing a methodology for Social Transformation during his work at the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy – MIFTAH. In addition, Oday co-led the development of Facilitating Reform Methodology for Social Transformation.
