Sebastián Zuleta-Henríquez joined the European Institute of Peace (EIP) in September 2019 as an Academic fellow. He has more than 10 years of experience in research, management, policymaking and implementation in the fields of Conflict Resolution, Peacebuilding and Development whether from governmental institutions, INGO’s and independent consultancy.
Currently he is a Team Leader for the Colombia/Venezuela programme in the Engagement, Dialogue and Process Design Unit. Prior to joining EIP, he served as an Advisor to the High Commissioner for Peace (2017-2018) from the Colombian Presidency, where he was in charge of the Monitoring, Impulse and Verification Commission (CSIVI) to the implementation of the Peace Agreement between the Colombian State and the FARC, and provided technical support to the peace delegation from the Colombian government in the negotiation process with the ELN.
He holds an M.A in International Humanitarian Action and Conflict from Uppsala University; a LL.M in International Law from Universidad de los Andes; a B.A. in Law Studies and a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
