Sofie Honing
Sofie Honing joined the Institute in May 2024 as a Fundraising Trainee.
Prior to joining the Institute, she worked as a Junior Research Assistant for UNICEF’s East Asia Pacific Regional Office in Bangkok. There she supported the private and public fundraising and partnerships teams, producing donor mappings and partnership engagement plans. Sofie completed her Master’s degree in International Relations at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), ajoring in ‘Conflict and Violence in Global Politics’. Her dissertation explored the utilization of the term ‘Genocide’ by Rohingya activists in the framing of the crisis in Myanmar. She also holds a BA in Arts and Culture, specializing in ‘Political Culture’ from the University of Maastricht. Sofie speaks Dutch, English, Catalan and French.
