Susanne Gentz
Susanne Gentz is a Senior Programme Manager in charge of the European Neighbourhood. She joined the European Institute of Peace in late 2022 after several years of advising the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on its diplomatic engagement and humanitarian diplomacy efforts. Between February and November 2022, she was a standing member of ICRC’s Ukraine Crisis Team. Prior to that she worked for over a decade in private diplomacy and conflict mediation with the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD Centre), where she also headed the Oslo forum series bringing together senior peacemakers from around the world to exchange experiences.
Susanne has longstanding experience working directly with conflict parties and their constituencies, including armed groups. She has facilitated multistakeholder dialogues and accompanied several politically sensitive dialogue processes across Eurasia, notably in Ukraine, the Caucasus, Moldova and Central Asia.
Susanne holds an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Uppsala in Sweden and an LLB from the University of Surrey in the UK
